What can I do about my 401k plan that forces me to invest in money market, bonds or stock mutual funds (in order for them to make a matching contribution).  I hate the fact that somebody else is controlling where my money is invested. What do you think about following regulation for stock market:

The market stock price will be same as the book value.  It will change at the end of month after the monthly income is determined for a company.  This removes speculation and awards fairly to everybody involved. You response will be very much appreciated.]]></description>

If I buy stocks from a company that just filed bankruptcy  protection, then its investment banking and trading divisions were acquired by someone else, will stock go up, eventually? Or should I just pass on the whole thing and invest in something that is already doing well?]]></description>
