1 more thing

Hey, this is a business. So call, email, IM EVERYONE you know and ask them to turn on the TV to ABC and watch game. Lets make the blogosphere part of NBA 2.0. Lets make the NBA 2.0 part of the blogosphere.

And if your friends arent basketball fans, get them fired up why they should be. If they arent sure which team to root for.

Look for the team that holds their hands over their hearts during the National Anthem.

  1. Great first half! Looks like it’s going to be a close game. Heat has out played the Mavs, but looks like the Mavs are making a come back. Great shot by Dirk at the buzzer!

  5. Woohoo!!! Great first quarter for the Heat. Big fan of yours Mr. Cuban, but it looks like your Mavs are gonna need to do some more studying to figure Wade.

If he continues this, it’s going to a long night for the Mavs.

Looking forward to seeing your in-game blogging.

  6. Mark, can you please do something about Billy Hayes? He’s doing his over-the-top thing on national television right now and it’s even more annoying and embarrassing than it is in person. I hate the New York Yankees, but at least they know how to run the PA with the sort of class a winning organization exhibits. Hayes makes me feel like we’re 15-67 again.

  13. Her first child is my godson, 3 1/2 years old. My best friend is a S-P-U-R-S fan (best to spell it out in front of the children), but she doesn’t watch the games with her boy. So basically, I’m taking advantage of the distraction of the new baby to turn my godson into a crazy pipsqueak Mavs fan.

  14. The baby came on Wednesday. Yesterday, I went online & got them some gift certificates for the baby, and for my godson, a Dirk jersey & a Little Tykes basketball set. So he won’t feel left out right?

  19. I watched the game the other night and commented on the fact that none of the Heat put their hands over their hearts or even looked up at all. I don’t know if they just don’t like country music or if they really don’t give a crap about our national anthem. Bravo to the Mavs, they were the ones with their hands in the right places.

  20. Great Win!!!

Its like Steve Kerr said: You guys will take it in 6….my vote is 4!

    Mark Cuban is awsome

I’ll be rootin for you guys all the way

PS: Kudos to you Dirk, for taking all those fouls and still having a good game (although I know that less than 20 points isn’t very good for you =)
And yea, I agree with you Larry: Heat players were just standing around….Shaq had his hands on his hips and looking around like he was thinking – I want to hit some people in the face and hurt them while the STUPID REFS DON’T CALL ANYTHING!!!!!

  21. I did notice that Antoine Walker had his hand over his heart. I think it’s a very good gesture, and I guess he still thinks it is even after leaving the Mavs.

  22. One thing that cought my eye during the pre-game was that during the National Anthem, the Mav’s were standing with their hands over their hearts and some of the Heat players were standing around like they were in the checkout line at Wal-mart. Go!! Mav’s!!

  23. I feel great for the ultimate fan – Mark Cuban. I KNOW the players feed off of Avery’s leadership and mental toughness. However, there is a unique chemistry and motivation that seems to provide an synergistic blend of excitement because of an owner who has always been a “true” fan. A guy who made good and took his winnings and made an offer that Ross Perot Jr. couldn’t refuse. I LOVE seeing free enterprise AT ITS BEST!

  24. I love the Mavs, love you too Mark. I have to say that seeing the team with their hands over their hearts and either eyes closed or singing the anthem was a stark contract to the Heat’s seemingly un-interest in being patriotic. Are they too smug to be American and show it? Probably not, but at that moment, I was so proud to be an American and a MFFL! You guys spanked the Heat, now don’t let up. Let the media eat crow. GO MAVERICKS! LOVE YA!

  25. Great job Mavs. Now you have time to focus and concentrate on how to stop and block out the big guy(O’Neal). I think not having the same person on him all the time works better. Again good job and my 11 year old son says,”GO MAVS”!!!

  29. OK– This is a little devious–My best friend, who will be relocating to Dallas in August when her husband finishes his stint with the Army, just had her second child, a girl.

This seems considerate, but it’s all a part of my evil plan. I figure Daddy will put on the finals & show him the guy whose jersey he has–once he sees Adonis flying down the court and nailing a sweet jumper over two defenders it’ll be all over. Mom will be too distracted to tell him about D-U-N-C-A-N or G-I-N-O-B-L-I. And god bless the Mavs, because even if she wanted to show my god son her team, they won’t play again till october–and by then it will be too late!

So hooray for the Mavs! Can’t wait til next year when I have a new buddy to take to games! Get ’em while they’re young–that’s how McDonalds does it!

  30. Now here is the real question…
Where did Terell Owens get that really cool Mavs Hat? Is that on the mavs store? I’d love to rep the Mavs with one of those on, because I think New Era hats are the best. Does the NBA have a deal with Reebok or something, because all I ever see are Reebok Hats, and they don’t fit me right.
Oh yeah, congrats on the win! JET was out of his mind!

  35. Man, Shaq is one dirty mofo. I am thinking the Mavs should all wear Diop style masks for game 2 just to show the refs how bad Shaq is throwing elbows at faces tonight. What do you think Cuban?
